In the new screenshot, Haunted Chocolatier saw a connection with Stardew Valley

Eric Barone, also known as Concernedape, is one of the few developers who evoke almost only positive emotions among gamers. The developer loves to work in silence and rarely boasts of his work, and if he boasts, he is usually limited to several words or one screenshot. So this time – Eric’s last message once again stirred the gamers and forced them to start building interesting theories about Haunted Chocolatir.

Concernedape shared the Haunted Chocolatier screenshot in his Twitter/X profile. He accompanied him with words that can be translated simply: "Here is a screenshot from the game Haunted Chocolatier". The picture shows an elderly gentleman lying in bed and complaining of a character standing next to him (perhaps a player?) on the fact that he had a terrible dream. The character is not signed by either a name or any title – there are only three interrogative signs in the section "Name".

This turned out to be enough to wake the imagination of the players. In the comments under the post there is no shortage of those who believe that the old man in the image is higher – none other than the grandfather of the character of the game Stardew Valley.

Of course, the baron did not confirm and did not refute this theory, but I must say that it would be interesting if the Haunted Chocolatier and Stardew Valley were somehow connected by each other.

One of the commentators put forward an interesting theory according to which his grandfather could own several real estate objects – before his death, he prescribed a farm (in Stardew Valley) to one of his grandchildren, and the chocolate factory (in the Haunted Chocolatier) is another, so, in fact, the characters of both Games would be relatives. This is similar to the result of an overwhelmed imagination, but, you see, it would be an interesting turn.

Haunted Chocolatier will go to PC. The release date is not yet known.

Eric Barone answered several comments under the post he published, one of which was dedicated to Stardew Valley. The developer admitted that he was still working on updating 1.6 for his big hit (he does it since June 2022), and, interestingly, he said that he still has a lot of content for the game, which he has not yet mentioned.
