Larian offered a solution to the problem with Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox

Baldur’s Gate 3 developers announced a temporary solution to memory problems at Xbox Series X/S, allowing players to use their preservations.

Fans of Xbox Series X/S had to wait a bit before they could play Baldur’s Gate 3, since PC and PS5 players gained access to the game in the summer of 2023, and the port on Xbox was announced after The Game Awards, and its final launch took place in December 2023.

Unfortunately for the owners of Xbox Series X/S, their port of Baldur’s Gate 3 was permeated with problems with preservation. Many fans reported that their conservation data were deleted, which is extremely alarming for a game that can easily last more than 100 hours in one passage.

Fortunately, the developer Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios, offered his own solution, although you need to tinker. In a message on the official Larian Studios channel on Twitter/X, the developers examined the problems with the preservation of the Baldur’s Gate 3, which continue to occur at the Xbox Series X/S. This can be bypassed by activating cross -platform conservations in the game.

To use this method, you need to create an account on the Larian website, then go to the Baldur’s Gate 3 to set up the settings of the Parameters in the main menu. Go to the gameplay tab and select Cross-Save, while linking your accounts Larian and Xbox.

From this moment on, your last 5 conservations will be loaded to the Larian servers through the cloud storage. If the error is repeated, you will have to re -activate the cross -platform conservation function in Baldur’s Bate 3 to gain access to the latest downloaded conservation.

It is unclear when problems with the preservation of Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox Series X/S are fixed, but Larian is sure that this will not take much time. At the moment, fans will have to rely on Larian servers and cloud storage to guarantee that their saving file will be available.
